For many years the area under the tall Douglas firs at the entrance to "Chartlea Park" was a meeting place for
families in the community - an opportunity for them to gather together, to park their cars, spread out the picnics and
revel in the peacefulness and sunshine of this area. This is a tradition which we are endeavouring to continue.
